Randel Kreitsberg elected to the board of the Estonian Society of Toxicology

As a board member, Kreitsberg plans to contribute to the dissemination of knowledge in the field of toxicology.

Randel Kreitsberg, Associate Professor in Ecotoxicology at the Institute of Ecology and Earth Sciences, was recently elected to the board of the Estonian Society of Toxicology. Kreitsberg’s research focuses on marine pollution and its impact on living organisms.

Kreitsberg said that, as a board member, he hopes to contribute more to making toxicology knowledge accessible to the general public. “I plan to participate more actively as an advisor in everyday discussions on toxicology and to serve as a partner in national decision-making processes related to the field. I believe I can make good use of my experience in research policy and communication in this role.”

The Estonian Society of Toxicology aims to disseminate information on toxicology to the broader public, conduct training and outreach activities, and provide networking opportunities for its members. The organisation was founded on October 17, 1997, with the aim of bringing together everyone with an interest in toxicology or whose daily work or research involves toxicology. The Estonian Society of Toxicology includes physicians and veterinarians working in toxicology, representatives from industry and business, and toxicologists specializing in environmental and occupational health.
