How do seabirds respond to different environmental conditions? Using examples spanning from experimental studies on maternal effects of contaminants to investigations of contrasting breeding strategies in neighbouring colonies, we will explore together how physiology, behaviour, and reproductive success are shaped by environmental challenges such as contaminants or high breeding densities due to habitat loss.
